If you notice a very early production of units and an unusually low number of workers, your opponent will usually go for an all-in attack in which case you should be prepared with static defenses and units of your own.Selecting new units without looking at them, though, is a problem without answer - theres no way to 'select all units built from a building' or 'select ungrouped units' or something similar. Scouting what your opponent is doing is often the difference between winning and losing. It's easier to chase, flank and surround an opposing army on Creep. Creep is needed to put down any Zerg building, and it also makes Zerg units move faster. Supply caps can be deadly as Zerg especially when defending a push, so keep an eye on that supply counter!Another unique mechanic to Zerg is Creep. Thankfully, you can also produce a number of Overlords at the same time, but this doesn't mean being supply capped is fine. Since Zerg's produces many units at once, your supply can be easily eaten up without you noticing. Just be sure you don't get supply capped!Overlords are even more useful in Zerg vs Zerg matches since the only unit that can shoot up in the early game are queens. If you can't get in because your opponent is walled off, you can suicide an overlord inside your opponent's base around 5 minutes into a game to see what he's doing. Send your first Overlord near your opponent's base and keep it out of harm's way. It only cost the Overseer energy to produce a changling so use it, and use it often! The Overlord's primary function is to provide supply, but they can also be used in scouting and spotting! I would have to say a few things though. This blog is greatHey BraidedZero, thanks for reading the hub! Although I agree that scouting always depend on the build, I think it's important for beginners to learn the importance of scouting. As for the micro, I think that as Zerg, concaves and not attacking into chokes and up ramps is important so I included that as well, although a bit far down.Anyway, I'm really glad you liked it. Flanking can lead you to easily surrounding and beating an opponent's army.Thank you for your great post. Attack from two sides if you can. And that drone that went to scout could have brought in more minerals. You could use a few lings in the beginning to get good map coverage. You're going to 6 pool regardless of their build. Even if you scout it won't take anything away from your build. Sometimes, if you're 6 pooling for instance, you don't need to scout. Soundlink mini 2 firmware updateMaybe that's just my opinion. A beginner shouldn't even be thinking about micro yet. Also, I don't know if I agree with micro being mentioned in a "beginners" guide.
